Today, Blue Cloak opened the doors to its newest interns! Coming from both Academies of Loudon and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, it represents the second year in a row that Blue Cloak has offered this program. After a highly successful 2018 campaign featuring 4 students in both high school and college, we’re proud to announce that we’re continuing the initiative! After an extensive search, we’ve finalized three wonderful applicants right from our own backyard. Blue Cloak strives to follow the idea of “innovation through integration” and we are thrilled to promote this while also reaching out to the local community. After the success and mutual benefit of the 2018 internship campaign, we knew that this program was going to be a mainstay of Blue Cloak LLC. We’re excited to have the three aboard for the next few months of summer!
Last year, the interns paved the way and wowed us with their talents, expertise and eagerness to learn. They created our newest website design from the ground up, worked with Powershell Empire, created an entire deployment kit which we use for each event we travel to, contributed to projects we’re working alongside NASA with and many more! All that in just a short summer break for the students!
We’re excited at the possibilities of the incoming interns this year. Some of the projects we are hopeful to complete this year include creating a machine to recycle plastic waste into 3D printer filament to reduce our carbon footprint, creating a virtual network of a mock water plant SCADA, some machine learning focused on Hortonworks as well as creating a portable “hack box” and “defensive box” from the ground up. But we are open to any new ideas the incoming interns may have. We can’t wait to see what they will accomplish!
